Learning the Ladder Recipe in Animal Crossing
The first thing you will notice is that you can’t craft ladders by default. In order to craft ladders in Animal Crossing you will need to purchase a certain item from Nook’s Cranny. This item is the Ladder Set-Up Kit Recipe. This crafting recipe will cost you 2,000 bells upfront to purchase. Expensive but that being said, you will be able to craft as many ladders as you like once you have this item.
How to Craft Wooden Ladders in Animal Crossing
Now that you have the recipe to craft the ladders you will need to get some materials to building them with. To craft one ladder you will need the following materials:
- 5 pieces of wood
- 3 Crafted Ladders
This is just 5 pieces of regular wood. not soft or hardwood. You can only craft this ladder set up kit once you have clicked on the DIY item in your inventory.
Once you have crafted yourself a ladder, you can move to any cliff to put it down. (You have to place them on cliffs! No getting to the roof of your house here!) Ladders can be especially useful for climber over hills and cliffs on your island. They are also a lot easier to build than slopes and stairs.
