How to Get Rope in Necesse
There is no way to craft rope at all in necesse. In the game you can only obtain a rope through purchasing one from a trader. There are two traders that sell rope in the game, the Farmer and the Travelling Merchant. The travelling merchant will visit your settlement from time to time. Farmers are one of the earliest settlers you can invite to your farm. They can be found in NPC villages throughout the world.
The rope will cost between 100 and 190 coins. It will always be available to purchase from the farmer. You can purchase multiple ropes to lead around multiple animals at once. Helpful if you are building a new fenced area for your farm animals.
How to Use the Rope in Necesse
Using the rope is very simple once you have acquired one. The only use for the rope is to lead around animals that would otherwise wonder around meaninglessly. To rope a creature and lead it somewhere, first put the rope item in your quickbar at the bottom of your inventory. Now that it is there, scroll until you have it equipped.
With the rope equipped head towards the animal you want to lead around. With your mouse hovering over them, you will see a prompt to use the right mouse button to Use Rope. To lead around multiple animals, simply walk over to a second animal and right-click it as well. You will need one rope for every animal you wish to lead around.
The rope will be dropped on the ground once it has been removed from an animal. They can be used infinitely.
