Early on in Kynseed, players will discover a locked door to the north-east of their farm. To unlock this door the player will need to get their hands on the Green mine Key. The only hint that you get in regards to the key’s whereabouts is in a sign right next to the locked door which reads “Truffled the pig ate the key! Find a way to get it out!” Rather non-helpful. This guide will show you the three main ways to get the green mine key from Truffles.
Option 1: Destroy Truffles for the Key
This one if probably the most extreme way to get the key, but if you have no emotional attachment to Truffles, this is one of the easiest ways. Once you obtain a slingshot, you can simply dispose of Truffles to get the key (and some bacon for your trouble). To do this, simply feed Truffles an item called a Gassy Apple. This will cause Truffles to blow up into a balloon. Now shoot the pig balloon down to get your key. Be aware that this does kill the pig and you won’t be able to get him back. Back to the pig actions next week for a new Truffles…
Option 2: Cure Truffles Stomach Problems
One of the systems within the game is a potions system. Players can use and also craft their own potions in the game using the game’s various ingredients. One such method of retrieving the green mine key is to make Truffles bowels work properly again, so to speak. This can be done with a potion called the Go Easy Potion. You can purchase this from within the Village apothacary.
Once you have purchased the potion you can feed it to Truffles as if you were feeding them food.
Option 3: Feed Truffles Certain Foods
The third option and possible the least expensive is to have Truffles eat a food with a certain property. Each food has different properties such as tiredness, bad breath etc. There is one trait called Flatulence. If you feed Truffles a food with this trait he will immediately poop out the key.
The easiest vegetable I found to be able to feed Truffles is the Cabbage. As it’s super common you shouldn’t have any trouble finding some cabbage in Kynseed. Simply select Truffles, feed him and choose the Cabbage. Simple!
