Where to Get Mods For Bannerlord
Steam Workshop Support
Recently, Taleworlds has added the long-awaited steam workshop support for Bannerlord. This comes after years of early access without it. With Steam’s workshop, all you will need to do to install those mods is simply search for them and Subscribe to the mod through their individual pages. This is rather straightforward and means you will always have the most updated version of the mod.
Mods From Outside Sources Manually
Due to the fact that the workshop support is so new, most mod authors don’t have their mods on their yet. You will find most mods avaliable on the Nexus Mods website. Here you can browse and download as many mods as you wish. Simply go to the site and manually download the mods through their pages.
How to Manually Install Mods in Bannerlord
Now that you have some great looking mods to install we just have to move them to the right folder. All of the mods for Mount and Blade Bannerlord are kept in the Modules folder. You will need to move your downloaded mod files here in order to play with them. If you have the Steam version of the game they are most likely found in the following location:
D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Mount & Blade II Bannerlord/Modules
Move your mod folders to this location and then you can boot up your game. If you cannot find your Bannerlord install path, simply right-click the game in your library on Steam. Under Manage, select Browse local files to find your install location.
How to Enable Installed Mods in Bannerlord
Now all of the hard work has been done! Simply boot up your version of Bannerlord. You should come to the first menu of the game where you decide to play single player or multiplayer. Under the single/multiplayer options there will be a option of Mods. Select this to go to the mod management window. This will show all of your installed mods.
To enable a mod, simply check the box beside its name. The boxes will be lightly colored when the mod is enables. You can also click and drag to rearrange the load order of the mod. Simply click and hold the hamburger symbol beside the checkbox and you can move it up and down the list as you please.
That’s about it! Now when you click play the mods that you hve installed and enabled should be available to play in the game! By aware that some mods will also have dependencies. They may require other mods and a specific load order to actually work. Be sure to read the description of each mod carefully to make sure you have everything set up correctly for each mod.
