How to Unlock the Greenhouse in Stardew Valley

Making money through farming is one of the key focuses of Stardew Valley. As you build up your farm you will unlock more ways to work your land. One of the features is the Greenhouse.

To begin with the greenhouse will be broken down and unable to be entered. This will all change once you manage to get it fixed up. This guide will show you how you can unlock and use the greenhouse on your farm!

How to Unlock the Greenhouse in Stardew Valley

In order to unlock the Greenhouse in Stardew Valley, you will need to complete the Pantry bundle in the community centre. Once this is completed, the Juminos will come to the farm and repair the greenhouse, which can then be used by the player.

Alternatively if you’re going down the Jojo-Mart route instead, you will simply need to pay 35,000g to unlock the greenhouse. This is obviously a lot quicker than the pantry bundle if you’re morally okay with that choice.

The Pantry bundle in the community centre is a quite extensive list of different items. To fulfill the requirements you will have to collect vegetables and fruits from all seasons, 5 different Gold quality crops (x5) and a bunch of animal products as well.

Entering and Using the Greenhouse

Once you have completed the task of unlocking the greenhouse, you will be able to make use of it. The greenhouse is a building with an interior like any other house in the game. Here, you will have a large area to grow crops in.

The beauty of the greenhouse is that you can grow any crops regardless of season. You can mix and match whichever crops you want.

This also applies for trees as well. Meaning, you can have fruit trees bearing fruit all year round in the greenhouse. You don’t even have to plant the trees in the soil either, they can also be placed on the path in the greenhouse and against the wall.
